Air India Flight from Mumbai Makes Emergency Landing in Bhopal; All 175 Onboard Safe

An Air India flight operating from Mumbai to Bhopal made an emergency landing on Tuesday after a technical issue was detected mid-air.

According to official sources, the aircraft was carrying 175 people, including passengers and crew members, at the time of the incident.

Technical Snag Detected Mid-Flight

The flight, identified as AI633, reported a technical malfunction while en route. Following standard safety protocols, the pilot informed Air Traffic Control and sought permission for a priority landing at Bhopal.

Airport authorities immediately activated emergency response procedures, deploying fire and rescue teams as a precautionary measure.

Safe Landing at Bhopal Airport

The aircraft landed safely at Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal at approximately 3:20 PM. No injuries or casualties were reported among those onboard.

Officials confirmed that all passengers were safely deplaned, and necessary inspections of the aircraft were initiated.

Return Flight Cancelled

Following the incident, the return service from Bhopal to Mumbai was cancelled. Passengers scheduled for the onward journey were informed and assisted by airline staff.

Aviation Safety Protocols Followed

Authorities stated that the situation was handled in accordance with established aviation safety procedures. The exact cause of the technical issue is currently under investigation.
